Who created this survey?
The survey is part of a partnership of organizations interested in improving afterschool programming, including Every Hour Counts, Youthprise, Informed Change, and Hamai Consulting, funded by the Mott Foundation. A team of 22 youth from all over the country developed and refined the survey instrument.

The aim of the survey is to better understand:
Why is it important?
Survey Summary
The survey opens for 12-19-year-old youth (7th-12th graders) throughout the U.S and closes on Monday, May 30, 2022. It will take youth 10 to 15 minutes, on average, to complete the survey.
How can you help spread the word?
We would love your help distributing the survey to as many youth as possible. Encourage the youth in your programs and network to participate in the survey by sharing this link to the survey: https://hamaicons.responsesuite.com/q/youthvoice. Download our social media kit here.
We recommend using the electronic version of the survey, but paper copies can be downloaded here. Please scan any completed paper surveys and email them to ibiaso@hamaiconsulting.com by May 30th.
What happens after the survey closes?
The findings from the survey will inform the design of an innovative approach to afterschool. Groups of youth from 6 different afterschool sites will work together in 5 design sessions to re-imagine afterschool. Mott Foundation will also use the survey results to inform their future planning and policy work.
