In partnership with public and private funders, Youthprise provides grants and technical assistance to nonprofit organizations in Minnesota. Our grants advance youth access to expanded learning opportunities, economic opportunities, and health & safety.

Youth Wealth Building, Emergency & Stabilization Fund

APPLICATION STATUS: CLOSED

AMOUNT AVAILABLE:  $100,000 

AWARDS: $3,000 per individual, though awards may vary based on need and available resources.

Youthprise Youth Board members are directing this emergency fund as Minnesota youth continue to face crisis after crisis. Investing in youth wellbeing, civic engagement, and economic opportunity is a proven strategy for strengthening community safety and improving crisis response.

Ramsey County Violence Prevention Grant

APPLICATION STATUS: CLOSED

APPLICATIONS DUE: MAY 8, 2026

AMOUNT AVAILABLE:  $236,250 

NUMBER OF AWARDS: 8 to 10 awards anticipated ranging from $15,000 to $25,000

Ramsey County, in partnership with Youthprise, seeks to expand access to culturally responsive and community-based supports for youth and young adults through a violence prevention grantmaking process.

Empowering Youth in STEM Grant

AMOUNT AVAILABLE: Three grants of $25,000 each 

3M and Youthprise have joined forces to launch the “Empowering Youth in STEM Grant,” which supports initiatives that expand access to STEM education and career pathways for Twin Cities youth.

Culturally Grounded Wellness for Youth in the Twin Cities Region

APPLICATION STATUS: CLOSED

SUPPORT AMOUNT: 12-month grant program, we will provide financial support of up to $75,000, prioritizing small organizations with annual budgets of $750,000 or less that are led by people of color and dedicated to serving youth of color.

Youthprise envisions a Minnesota where the outcomes for youth are not determined by race, geography, or socioeconomic status. In alignment with this vision and recognizing the existing challenges, we have partnered with the Minnesota Institute for Trauma-Informed Education (MITIE)* to bolster non-clinical, culturally centered, and community-based healing and wellness programs for youth of color.

Ramsey County Youth Justice Transformation Grant Request for Proposals

APPLICATION STATUS: CLOSED

AMOUNT AVAILABLE: $50,000-$200,000

Ramsey County, through Youthprise, is seeking proposals from community partners to provide community-based programming for youth as part of a continuum of services that focuses on strategies to keep youth safely in the community. This Request for Proposals (RFP) focuses on increasing the capacity of programs that provide community-based programming for youth, up to age 24, who are under probation supervision in Ramsey County.
