In partnership with public and private funders, we mobilize and invest resources in the following impact areas:

Building Power: Learning & Leadership

We invest in learning opportunities that build knowledge, power, and agency among our youth. We support and amplify youth as leaders by building networks, developmental opportunities, and shifting policy/laws.

Advancing Ownership & Wealth: Economic Opportunity

We create opportunities for economic prosperity by increasing youth ownership and wealth as they define it. We work to promote youth entrepreneurship and ownership and increase access to “thrivable” career pathways.

Promoting Healing: Health & Safety

We champion work that promotes the healing of our youth and their RIGHT to health & safety. We work to promote basic needs as a right and ensuring young people have the resources to heal from criminalization and oppression in their communities.

Current Grant Opportunities

Ramsey County Youth Justice Transformation Grant Request for Proposals

Ramsey County, through Youthprise, is seeking proposals from community partners to provide community-based programming for youth as part of a continuum of services that focuses on strategies to keep youth safely in the community. This Request for Proposals (RFP) focuses on increasing the capacity of programs that provide community-based programming for youth, up to age 24, who are under probation supervision in Ramsey County. These services are targeted to medium and high-risk youth and include Mentoring/Individualized Services, Culturally Specific services, Family Mentoring services, System Navigators, and Family Support Group. Community partners may submit a proposal for one or any combination of services sought. The County encourages community agencies to work collaboratively in response to this proposal.

Culturally Grounded Wellness for Youth in the Twin Cities Region

Youthprise envisions a Minnesota where the outcomes for youth are not determined by race, geography, or socioeconomic status. In alignment with this vision and recognizing the existing challenges, we have partnered with the Minnesota Institute for Trauma-Informed Education (MITIE)* to bolster non-clinical, culturally centered, and community-based healing and wellness programs for youth of color. MITIE's role will be to support the collection of data points that paint a full picture of how each organization is contributing to the health and well-being of youth of color in the community through engaging in continuous improvement cycles, reflective and restorative practices, storytelling, and asset mapping. Together our focus is on addressing the gaps in access and availability of such programs in the Twin Cities Metro areas.
