This week, our President, Wokie Weah, two members of our youth innovation team Libby Rau and Aimee Vue and youth philanthropy fellow, James Miller were featured guests on the most recent episode of "In the Room Where it Happened: Conversations on Racism that Matter to All of Us.” The episode which aired on February 18th at 6:30 pm CT was hosted by Dr. Verna Price and Adam Carter on WCCO Radio.

Episode one of the ongoing series debuted back in October 2020, and was more of an introduction to the mission with Dr. Price. And back in December, part two which also featured Youthprise president Wokie Weah, dived deep into the topic of how we can have conversations around racism. This week Verna and Carter wanted focus on racism in philanthropy.

During the episode, the Youthprise team spoke about our youth philanthropy model, YouthBank, as a case study for disrupting systemic racism and how we put resources and power back in the hands of young people and their communities.
