Youthprise is pleased to be partnering with We IMPACT!, on the INNOVATE TO ELEVATE Forum in late October. We Impact is also a programming partner for the 2015 Youthprise Summit.

We IMPACT! is a nonprofit in Minneapolis, Minnesota that solves problems, improves communities and inspires hope. The theme of this year’s IMAGINE IMPACT Forum is INNOVATE TO ELEVATE on the use of technology as a catalyst for innovation, entrepreneurism, and financial literacy/dignity. The forum will be full of hands-on innovation activities, community/team building, motivational experiences, and inspirational mentorship for urban youth 7th – 12th grades.

As a part of the forum, Blue 1647 from Chicago, IL will facilitate an overnight hackathon with 50-75 College Crew youth & up to 25 adults. In addition, John Hope Bryant, Founder and President of Operation Hope, will be in town to share his experiences and speak about his book, How the Poor Can Save Capitalism. Bryant, along with Youthprise President Wokie Weah and Youthprise Board Member Thompson Aderinkomi, will serve as judges for the projects produced as part of the hackathon.

The 2015 IMAGINE IMPACT – INNOVATE TO ELEVATE Forum will inspire urban youth to be critical thinkers and servant leaders in identifying community problems and working collaboratively and creatively to solve them. Youth will leave IMAGINE IMPACT seeing themselves as innovators, creators, builders, and financially literate entrepreneurs.
