It’s tax season, and Minnesota Afterschool Advance wants to make sure you get the correct refund! Last year, MAA advanced you money for afterschool programs, a computer, or both. We get reimbursed when you file your taxes by claiming the K-12 Education Tax Credit. Claiming this Tax Credit will add the amount of money we advanced to you on top of your regular tax refund. When you file your taxes, the Department of Revenue will take this extra money from the Tax Credit and repay it to MAA while paying you your regular tax refund.MAA can then reuse this money to help your family again this year!
