Job Summary

The Communications Specialist -Web and Graphic Design works under supervision of the Advancement and Communications Officer ensuring Youthprise’s visual communications and website are consistent, user-centered, beautiful, and reflective of Youthprise’s brand identity. Responsible for creating visual assets that add to Youthprise’s external identity to ensure brand recognition and a positive public perception. Coordinates all design and updates related to the website and social platforms. Accurately sources content, crediting original content creators, and ensuring Youthprise opportunities work with people that are relevant to and familiar with the communities served. This position is part of the Communications and Advancement team which works very closely and collaboratively; willingness to work across disciplines and in an inclusive and equitable way is essential for this team.Schedule:Full-time, regular employee; business hours Monday-Friday.

Compensation and Benefits: The anticipated pay range for this role is $50,000-$65,000, depending on qualifications.  Youthprise offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Youthprise pays 100% of the premiums for employee high deductible health plan; family dental coverage; employee life, short term and long-term disability insurance.  Other benefits include vision and voluntary life insurance; health and retirement savings accounts; paid time off.

Education, Experience & Skills

Minimum Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in Graphic Design: Web and Interactive Media, Print Media, or related field.  Minimum of four years of related professional experience. Working knowledge of the web technologies including WordPress, web design basic systems and functions, twitter bootstrap 3+ framework.  Working knowledge of print design and production standards.  Great interpersonal and intercultural communication skills. Desire to communicate with and support all staff members, grantees, and partners. Conscientious and attentive to detail. Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, with interruptions, simultaneously and accurately.
