Color Outside the Lines! Youthprise and YDU Team up for Annual Video Contest

Submissions are open for Youthprise’s annual video contest! Every year we host a video contest where we ask you to make a video addressing a question we have. During last year’s contest we asked: What is Your Legacy of Change?

This past summer Youthprise and a group of youth from four culturally based organizations (MIGIZI, Legacy Keepers, Asian Media Access, El Colegio) teamed up to create the Youth Diverse Union. Through an intense summer program, the team of youth learned different ways to apply social skills and digital tools to create a change within the education system. During this time they decided to address the school system with a campaign for education reformation in the Twin Cities metro area.

This year, Youth Diverse Union is hacking the annual video contest! They want to know how your organization creates change around the issues of bullying, school support, and/or cultural restoration within the education system. How does your organization creatively address these issues with a strong sense of revolution and innovation?  The contest deadline will be November 4, 2014. Submit your video today!

A panel of YDU members and the Youthprise staff will judge the contest.  The winner will be announced on November 13, 2014 at YDU’s block party event.  Top prizes include three grand prizes of $2,500 and for the 501(c)(3) organization’s video to be featured in YDU’s campaign.
