Who/what inspires you and your work?

My team- we trust each other, support each other, problem solve together and create space for celebration. I already enjoy the work, but I enjoy it even more because I get to do it with them.

How did you end up here?

I worked with Wokie for 8 years at the National Youth Leadership. She invited me to come to Youthprise in the start up days to design and develop an infrastructure for youth engagement and integrate youth voice throughout the organization.

What are three words your colleagues might use to describe you?

Kind, honest, and deliberate.

If you wrote an autobiography, what would the title be?

“Can we start with a reflection question?” by Libby Rau

Which of your teachers inspired you the most? And why?

Maggie Baker – she wasn’t a teacher but a out of school time program leader. She fully believed in me and supported me as I evolved as a person. She challenged my growth and created opportunities for me to learn and lead. She has stuck with me and continues to reach out and stay connected 25 years later!
